It feels like everyone is getting into the Tiramisu craze. And it should come as no surprise that a tiramisu themed cafe has recently opened up in New York City. Which is why we had to head to Cafe 2BY2 to try it!

I have loved tiramisu for a while now and when I saw that a tiramisu themed cafe was opening in Downtown Manhattan, I had to try it.

The cafe has great aesthetics and gives out nice vibes. Many cafes tend to go all out and ruin the calming setting that customers enjoy. At Cafe 2By2, it feels like everything has been thought out.

I decided to order the Magnum Crispy Chocolate Tiramisu, one of the 16 tiramisu’s they offer. I did not even know there were that many different tiramisu options!

Before I dive into my dessert, I have to mention that this is cafe infuses East Asian culinary trends into tiramisu. A tiramisu can come in a couple different forms but it usually is a coffee soaked dessert. Some might include ladyfingers while others include layers.

If you do decide to try this place out, I have to warn you that the cakes are not cheap. And the coffee drinks are also interesting. I got a guava flavored coffee and it was as bad as it sounded.

The Magnum Crispy Chocolate Tiramisu was really good and I was impressed by the quality of the tiramisu. You could tell that this wasn’t just another cafe focused on the newest trend. it was easily one of the best tiramisu’s I’ve had.

Unfortunately, I didn’t try any other tiramisu. That is way too much sugar and I wasn’t going to torture myself.

That does mean that I will be back at this cafe and try all the other flavors. You can check out this article that did try all 16 tiramisu. I can’t imagine what the bill was like!

If you happen to be near Union Square and have a craving for Tiramisu, then this is place worth checking out. I am always on the lookout for great Tiramisu places and this one is as good as advertised!
